What if artificial intelligence could enhance you — would it truly make you a better person?

Under the influence of a mysterious AI specialist, Mina agrees to have a virtual assistant implanted in her, fulfilling her dream of becoming a photographer but drifting away from the man she loves.

Through an interplay of human presence and artificial voices, The Best Option explores the promises and perils of technological enhancement in a visually and emotionally distinctive way. Produced for the European Parliament to spark debate on AI, it has since been presented at festivals, universities, and public institutions across Europe — including Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Spain — as well as at the World AI Cannes Festival and European AI Week 2023.

Introduction by the director, Serge Goriely.

Hosted by the University of Copenhagen
